About ChartCreate

Hi there! I'm Fabio, a software developer based in Spain, and ChartCreate is my side project. I built it because I wanted a simple, fast way to create charts without signing up for anything or paying a subscription. So I made one myself and decided to share it with everyone.

The tool is completely free. No accounts, no credit cards, no tricks. You paste your data, customize your chart, and download it as an image. That's it. Your data never leaves your browser, which means I never see it and can't store it even if I wanted to.

Why I care about data visualization

I've always been fascinated by how a well designed chart can make complex information suddenly make sense. The work of people like Alberto Cairo, Edward Tufte, and Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic has shaped how I think about presenting data. If you haven't read their books, I highly recommend them. They changed how I see charts forever.

Cairo's idea that graphics should be truthful and functional, not just pretty, really stuck with me. That's why ChartCreate focuses on clarity first. You won't find flashy 3D effects or unnecessary animations here. Just clean, readable charts that communicate your data effectively.

Built on the shoulders of giants

This project wouldn't exist without Apache ECharts, an incredible open source charting library maintained by the Apache Software Foundation. Their work powers the charts you see here, and I'm deeply grateful for their contribution to the open source community. If you're a developer looking to add charts to your own projects, definitely check them out.
